2nd of 36 Miracles: Water to Wine

This year for Christmas 2016 my gift to Jesus was my commitment to learn about each of the miracles he performed during his lifetime on earth.  36 miracles can be found throughout the Bible and this website is putting them all together for you by building a series titled “Miracles by Jesus, The Complete List.”  We’ll take a look at each miracle, one at a time here on ThereYouAreJesus.com.

The primary focus of this website is to present relevant, timely, and recurring evidence of two way communications with loved-ones in heaven.  Including Jesus and everyone else now living in heaven.

The secondary focus is to create a fertile environment for new interactions with Jesus to happen, right before our eyes, as he interacts with us while we learn about him in the Bible.  Talk about miracles!

For example, the post titled “Easter’s Surprise Communication from Heaven”, is about a sign that appeared while I was writing another post about all the major events that happened during Easter’s Holy Week from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday.  Easter’s Surprise Communication from Heaven really is a must-read.

And now we begin with his 2nd of 36 miracles:

John 2:1-11 NIV – Jesus Changes Water Into Wine

1 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,

2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

3 When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”

4 “Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[b]

7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.

8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

They did so, 9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days.

Footnotes:  [a] In John 2:4, “Woman” does not denote any disrespect.  [b] In John 2:6, “twenty to thirty gallons” is about 75 to 115 liters.

Thank you and I pray for God to bless you personally in the ways you truly need.

I also pray for you to “go out of your way for God by helping someone.”  This, is one of the ways to actually get to know Jesus personally.

Amen.
